Καλησπέρα,θα ήθελα κάποιες διευκρινίσεις.Θα ήθελα να μου πείτε τι ακριβώς είναι η συνειδητότητα (και ποια η σχέση συνείδησης-συνειδητότητας) καθώς επίσης και ποίες ικανότητες των ανθρώπινων όντων περιλαμβάνει αυτός ο όρος?

Consciousness - συνειδητότητα - is the quality or state of being aware especially of something within oneself, the state or fact of being conscious of an external object, state, or fact. Also the state of being characterized by sensation, emotion, volition, and thought: mind.
The upper level of mental life of which the person is aware as contrasted with unconscious processes.

Consciense - συνείδηση - the sense or consciousness of the moral goodness or blameworthiness of one's own conduct, intentions, or character together with a feeling of obligation to do right or be good. A faculty, power, or principle enjoining good acts .

Man's consciousness was created to the end that it may

1. recognize...its descent from a higher unity...;
2. pay due and careful regard to this source...;
3. execute its commands intelligently and responsibly...; and
4. thereby afford the psyche as a whole the optimum degree of life and development."
